Now firmly in recovery mode following a six year period between 2008 and 2014 in which Spain’s real estate market suffered a severe crash, largely avoided by most other European countries, Spanish property prices have continued to rise above the Eurozone average for two years.

Based on official sources from each country, the figures from the EU statistics agency show average eurozone house prices rose 2.9% with EU prices rising 4% year on year during the second quarter of 2016, whilst Spanish house prices rose 3.8% during the same period.
