With just short of 70 courses on the Costa del Sol, the region has long been considered a top destination for Europe’s golfers and now Finca Cortesin has been awarded the accolade of Europe’s best course by Leading Courses.

Courses are ranked based on golfers opinions of facilities, course maintenance, value for money and clubhouse look, atmosphere, and hospitality.
Two further Costa del Sol resorts, La Cala Resort in Mijas Costa and Villa Padierna situated between Marbella and Estepona, both also featured in the 2017 rankings achieving 58th and 24th places respectively. Like many courses here on the Costa del Sol, characterised by some of Europe’s foremost layouts, pristine greens and tropical palms, all three enjoy spectacular picturesque locations.
Spain achieved the highest number of courses in any one country with a total of 17 in the top 100.
