During the first half of 2016 the number of properties purchased in the Málaga province increased 16.9% on the same period last year reaching a total of 4,978 registered real estate transactions.
According to figures released in a report published by Spain’s Ministry of Development this figure equates to 70% of all properties sold to non-Spanish buyers throughout the whole of Andalucía.
The number of properties purchased by foreign buyers throughout Andalucía increased from 5,973 transactions to 7,105 in 2016 amounting to an 18.9% increase during the same period.
Whilst other provinces trail behind Málaga province, home to the Costa del Sol, continues to prove by far the most popular with foreign buyers.
