Hotel AC Málaga Palacio
Just a few metres away from Málaga Cathedral, the AC Málaga Palacio is one of the cities largest hotels and best known rooftop bars. Boasting comfortable lounge areas, stocked bar and swimming pool plus a restaurant on the same floor, the terrace offers some of the best views over the Cathedral, nearby parks and Muelle Uno port from it’s fifteenth floor location.

Hotel Molina Lario
Located opposite the previous hotel in Málaga centre, the Hotel Molina Lario has a fantastic three level roof terrace that also has a swimming pool. Open from May to September the Piscina Lounge again offers magnificent views of the Cathedral and Port.

Room Mate Larios Hotel
Located on one of Málaga’s most famous streets and overlooking the Plaza de la Constitucion, the Larios Terrace is another of the cities best established and well known rooftop venues. One of the few to enjoy views in all directions, the terrace overlooks the rooftops of Málaga’s old town and the Cathedral.

Room Mate Valeria Hotel
Part of the same chain as the previous hotel, Room Mate Valeria’s terrace is one of the larger to be found in Málaga city. With a swimming pool open to guests in the summer months, the terrace offers spectacular views of the cities big wheel, port and Plaza Marina plus the historic Alcazaba and Gibralfaro fortress.

The rooftop bar at the Alcazaba Premium Hostel is another that doesn’t disappoint. Centrally located beneath the ancient walls of the Alcazaba, the rooftop terrace boasts spectacular views of the fortress and Roman amphitheatre and offers legendary cocktails against a backdrop of relaxing chill-out music. If you’re feeling peckish you can always head down one floor to the fabulous restaurant Batik.

Chinitas Urban Hostal
Tucked away amongst the traditional tapas restaurants in the Pasaje Chinitas (Chinitas Passage) at the end of Calle Larios, sits the Chinitas Urban hostel. There’s no lift here but it’s well worth the journey up the four flights of stairs to enjoy the relaxing music, cocktails and copas in Terraza Chinitas. Surrounded by Málaga’s historic old town, the two storey terrace offers views across the stone and terracotta skyline which is broken by the cities unmistakable Cathedral. Look out for the monthly flamenco events.

Málaga Premium Hotel
Sitting above the boutique Málaga Premium Hotel in the heart of the cities old town, the surprisingly spacious Terraza de San Juan features ample seating across three separate areas with two bars and captivating views across the surrounding rooftops. Dominated by the illuminated tower of the church of St John, from where the bar gets it’s name, the terrace is a stylish and atmospheric venue to hang out, party and sip cocktails. Again located in the heart of Málaga’s old town, the Oasis Lounge sits on the rooftop of the Hostel Oasis. Serving cocktails with names such as Picasso or Thyssen, taken from the museums that surround the bar, this lively terrace bar often hosts live jazz and flamenco, DJ’s and parties.
