The city of Málaga’s port authority has recently revealed plans to build a new super yacht marina to serve as a connecting hub for giant mega-yachts owned by the worlds super-rich as they sail between the Caribbean and the Mediterranean.

The new marina will be located next to Málaga’s fashionable waterfront shopping centre, Muelle Uno, and is expected to have moorings for up to 40 luxury super yachts up to 100m in length.
Málaga has long featured on the itineraries of some of the worlds plushest luxury yachts benefiting from its close proximity to the city’s thriving cultural centre and international airport.
In recent years the capital of the Costa del Sol has experienced a boom in tourism thanks to its fabulous cultural attractions, array of museums, Michelin star restaurants and fantastic sandy beaches. Conveniently close to the city centre, Málaga airport offers increasing numbers of international flight connections as well as being home to a private jet terminal.
Having been given a three month time span in which to put forward architectural and economic proposals, a number of investors have already expressed interest in the new marina project.
